Privacy Policy

TutorNest ("TutorNest", "we", "us") is operated by FLY SKY PTY LTD, a company registered in Australia. This policy explains what information the TutorNest app and its optional cloud services handle, and the choices you have. We have designed TutorNest to be local-first: by default, your teaching records never leave your device.

1. Local-first by default

The complete teaching database you build in TutorNest — your students, schedules, lesson records, lesson-credit balances, payments and invoices — is stored locally on your device. We do not upload, copy, or have access to this database unless you explicitly use one of the optional cloud features described below.

Encrypted backups you create are saved to a location you choose (for example your own files or device storage) and are encrypted with a key derived from your password. We cannot read them and do not receive them.

2. Optional cloud features and exactly what they send

Some features are off until you turn them on. When you do, only the specific data needed for that feature is transmitted:

Parent Portal

If you choose to publish a parent-facing summary, we store and serve a read-only family summary consisting of: the student or family name as you entered it, the number of remaining lessons, the outstanding amount owed, and invoice status (such as paid, partial or unpaid). We do not publish lesson notes, schedules, your other students, or any data you did not choose to include. You can unpublish a summary at any time, which removes it from the portal.

Email reminders

If you enable automatic reminders or send an invoice email, we transmit the recipient's email address and the message content (including the amount due and the Parent Portal link) to our email delivery provider so the message can be sent. We retain a minimal queue and delivery log to operate the service reliably.

Online payments (Stripe)

Online payments made by parents through the Parent Portal are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details are entered directly with Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. We receive only confirmation of payment status and amount so we can update the balance shown to you. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

3. Account and subscription data

Your subscription is purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment and we receive only the information Apple provides to validate your subscription status. We may store a minimal account identifier and your subscription state to enable the cloud features above.

4. Diagnostics

We may collect limited, non-identifying technical information (such as crash reports and basic usage counts) to keep the app stable. This does not include the contents of your teaching database.

5. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your students' information to anyone. We do not use your teaching records for advertising. We share data only with the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the features you enable (such as our email provider and Stripe), and only the data described above.

6. Data retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Published Parent Portal summaries remain until you unpublish them or close your account. You may request deletion of any cloud-stored data associated with your account by contacting us; we will delete it within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain it by law.

7. Children

TutorNest is a tool for teachers and is not directed at children. Where a teacher records a student's name (which may be a child), the teacher is responsible for having an appropriate basis to do so. Parent-facing summaries are accessed by the adult who receives the link.

8. Security

Backups are encrypted with AES-256. Cloud features are served over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and where appropriate, noted in the app.

你创建的加密备份会保存到你选择的位置（例如你自己的文件或设备存储），并使用从你的密码派生的密钥进行加密。我们无法读取，也不会收到这些备份。

2. 可选云端功能及其具体传输内容

部分功能在你开启之前处于关闭状态。开启后，仅传输该功能所需的特定数据：

家长门户

如果你选择发布面向家长的摘要，我们会存储并提供一份只读家庭摘要，包含：你录入的学生或家庭姓名、剩余课时数、未付金额，以及账单状态（如已付、部分付款或未付）。我们不会发布上课备注、课表、你的其他学生，或任何你未选择包含的数据。你可随时取消发布某份摘要，这将把它从门户中移除。

邮件提醒

如果你启用自动提醒或发送账单邮件，我们会将收件人邮箱地址与邮件内容（包括应付金额与家长门户链接）传输给我们的邮件投递服务商，以便发送邮件。为可靠运行服务，我们会保留最少量的队列与投递日志。

在线支付（Stripe）

家长通过家长门户进行的在线支付由 Stripe, Inc. 处理。卡片信息直接录入 Stripe；我们绝不查看或存储卡号。我们仅收到支付状态与金额的确认，以便更新向你展示的余额。Stripe 对支付数据的处理受其自身隐私政策约束。

3. 账户与订阅数据

你的订阅通过 Apple App Store 购买与管理。Apple 处理你的付款，我们仅收到 Apple 为验证你订阅状态而提供的信息。我们可能会存储一个最小化的账户标识与你的订阅状态，以启用上述云端功能。

4. 诊断信息

为保持应用稳定，我们可能收集有限且不可识别身份的技术信息（如崩溃报告与基本使用次数）。这不包括你教学数据库中的内容。

5. 我们不出售你的数据

我们不会向任何人出售、出租或交易你的个人信息或你学生的信息。我们不会将你的教学记录用于广告。我们仅与提供你所启用功能所必需的服务商（如邮件服务商与 Stripe）共享数据，且仅限上述所述的数据。

6. 数据留存与删除

本地数据会一直保存在你的设备上，直到你删除它或卸载应用。已发布的家长门户摘要会保留，直到你取消发布或注销账户。你可通过联系我们，请求删除与你账户关联的任何云端存储数据；除非法律要求保留，我们将在合理期限内删除。

7. 未成年人

TutorNest 是面向教师的工具，并非面向儿童。当教师录入学生姓名（可能为儿童）时，教师有责任确保其具有适当的依据。面向家长的摘要由收到链接的成年人访问。

8. 安全

备份采用 AES-256 加密。云端功能通过加密连接（HTTPS）提供。没有任何存储或传输方式是绝对安全的，但我们会采取合理措施保护我们所持有的有限数据。

9. 政策变更

我们可能会不时更新本政策。重大变更将通过更新上方日期予以体现，并在适当情况下在应用内说明。
